The Human Resources Department is dedicated to providing the services and support that advances the Hoopeston Regional Health Center’s Mission and Vision.
The Human Resources Department recognizes that the greatest asset an organization has is its’ employees. To insure that this most valuable asset is always available to care for the patients, residents and visitors of the facilities the department employees place a focus on the recruitment, hiring and the retention of qualified employees that have the sincere desire to provide great care and customer service to those they serve.
A critical role of the Human Resources Departments is the ongoing recruitment of qualified employees to insure that current openings and future new positions are filled timely. The department uses a variety of ways to recruit employees and to notify the surrounding communities of job openings.
Some positions can be difficult to fill because of a shortage of newly qualified applicants entering the job market. The facility has instituted several programs to insure that a qualified pool of candidates is always available to maintain the staffing needs of the health center. Some of these programs include:
A full registered nursing scholarship with Danville Area Community College for one graduating high school student each year at Hoopeston Regional Health Center.
The facility has also implemented a Loan Forgiveness Program that provides up front tuition and associated costs for two applicants to attend the Danville Area Community College’s Registered Nursing Program. Applications are taken in March of each year and a committee reviews those to select the two final candidates.
The facility participates in various programs with the local colleges to provide on site clinical experiences to meet the requirements of their degree.
The facility partners with Danville Area Community College by hosting a Certified Nursing Assistant program each summer for area residents.
The Human Resources Department works to be innovative and creative in the programs it puts into place to retain the current employees through a collaborative relationship and to continue identifying and offering new programs to educate and encourage community members about the exciting opportunities available locally at Hoopeston Regional Health Center.
